I have written the theory essay too so what I just going to do is the shark film with Zothmund and a child juuuuhuuuuuuuu!

Homemade Millenium Falcon Tutorial ©

I show you in 8 steps how could I made a Millenium Falcon spaceship from Star Wars. It was a christmas gift to my girlfriend like last year the Darth Vader. I used 2 special things, a transparent plastic cd what you can get if you buy 10 pieces cd or dvd in one tube and my old camera what I broked 3 years ago.

1. The cd and a stronger paper were the base.

2. The second step I cut some piece of wood and a paper roll which were glued to the base.

3. I repeated the first step and the spaceship form was ready.

4. The bigger part of the process is comming now. My idea was that I could put every kind of small things to this body like a microchips, batteries, cardboard, cup of pens, cup of coke and pepsi bottles as staying neutral.




5. To cut and glue this things I have 2 great tools! One is a small electric saw with different heads and the other is the most useful glue gun. With these fantastic stuff it's ridiculously easy to build a small maketts. You can see the sony camera on the left-up corner.

6. When the detailed ship body was ready I needed a stand which was a cd cover and one piece of pen. The pen went exactly inside the body, to the hole of the transparent plastic cd.

7. I bought a cheap paint spray and I gave 3 thin layers to the spaceship which is immediatelly looked amazing.

8. And the last step, the Millenium Falcon has some colors which are so characteristic. Some part are red and dark grey and of course the stand had a matt black color aaaand the gift was ready.

I spent around 4 days to do this but I had to wait because of the paint. My girlfirend took a picture and shared on facebook and we get 34 likes so qiuckly! :D

3D project was called Left Side Drive

I'm on the way to finish my examination film from MA1.
I have got a huge macintosh monster computer with 8 core from animation department for rendering. One picture around 3-6 minutes instead of 20-30 as my computer worked before with only 2 core. The final movie is goes to be 4,5 minutes long. I have to finish before the graduation can be continuited.

***Zothmund Visual Taster***

I've found the final visual of Zothmund project. I used an inner shadow and a raster as a stylized noise to broke the simple, homogene shapes. Sometimes I'm bored my style so I'm glad to use this raster as something new.

I was drawing on paper but the colors, shadows and rasters are done by computer.

ANIMATION
I will use 2D animation in Anime Studio like the Frog-tango. It's not a frame by frame drawing technic rather a paper cut animation with bones, moving-flowing vector points and flexible movements. I can use the raster as a texture for the selected shape in animation aaaand it's possible to scale, move too.

ZOTHMUND
The left character is from 2008 and the rights the new. He is a fisher-hunter boy, he eats fishes but a bigger fish also can eat him. And one of the most important I want to make a real toy from him and the shark too.

COLOR
My concept is based on a complementary colors, the air and the "normal world" is yellowish and the water is bluish. This is the reason for the yellow bubbles, because I'm bored to use blue bubbles. So the color of Zothmund's skin changes too and the glasses are always inverse. Not to mention that the yellow and the blue are a typical diver colors.

BACKGROUND
His room has one fisheye view and try to collect every kind of fish things. The floor, his stuffs as a surf ironing board, fishing chair, aquarium tv and a klippan sofa from ikea. His car parking inside.
The shark has a nightmare, ghost version and it comes in and try to hurt, bite, catch him. I have only one version of it in the video.

The city where he flees by car is a shower-soap-flacon-skyscraper city. I use just a form however I think it's better if I do more understandable of this bathroom things. We will see.

THE SHARK
I was thinking how to draw a GREAT white shark, because a lot of drawings of shark are so stipud and to much "angry" and lame. I like a pretty cool shark wich is funny and frightening enough. This also goes to be a toy, if it opened his mouth it would be amazing!

CHILD
I'm planing to make some live action scenes when a child play with them in the bath. The child around 5 years old, is a real child and his toys too. The live action and the animation scenes will change eachother step by step as the real world and the playing time are combined.
I met three child to exam and watch them how they play. Two of them are a brothers, Berci (7 years old) and Marci (5) could sit in the bath. I printed out and laminated the figures so they played with them like a toys. Gabi (5) had no bath and he rather wanted to play with cars. Every children liked the camera and they made ourselves funny faces. They talked about horror and everybody ate everybody there was no peace. You can see the color of live action is yellowish too like in Zothmund's world.

Well I won't use blood in the movie but they won't drink a cup of tea next to eachother. As I haven't have animatic yet I made a concept video of this slides with music and a little animation to explain the genre and give an impression. I used a original sound track of Leon the professional -The Fight (part 2 - Bring Me Everyone) as a temp music (example music). I like this classical, scary but sometimes funny music, my favourite is the submarine drum.
The scenes of life footage shark are from the tv. The Animal Planet had a shark month in autum and I recorded it.

So this is the point where I'm now, enjoy the concept video, the small short taster of Zothmund!


Zothmund Animation Graduation
2013 MOME MA

*** Graduation film -Zothmund ***

I have started the last year at the university. The master graduation is rather based on the five years instead of just the two. So I am try to collect everything knowledge and push it in this film.

My project based on my get entry comic what I draw five years ago, the first thing for mome. Its a very simple Jaw's story, Zothmund the diver catch a shark, as his job or a request but at the and we have a joke.

I would like to record the and as a live-action with a real toys what I will make after the final character design. Now with my teachers we working on the story but i need time to let trickling out the happenings and what-why things.
I have some digital paintings for the solution of water and bubbles. I would like to show this fall in scene slowly to enjoy the different material as the water give you this special feeling.

And I have some page of storyboard which are only the first idea! I have wanted to make a fried eggs breakfast scene for a long time and a driving scene too like in the Drive movie. His car is a Citroen DS from 1972, it's called shark.
The under water scenes are still in work in progress brainstorming.

The graduation exam is include an essay too which theme is so closer to the film. I am reading a books about child fantasy and psychology, mitology, shark legends and surrealism.

NIFF 2012

I was in Greece at the Naoussa International Film Festival (NIFF) with my girlfirend and Mátyás Lanczinger. The organization was perfect they booked a hotel room with breakfast and meal we lived here for 5 days. The festival itself was small, screenings in two rooms, experimental, fiction (live action shorts) and animation section with a lot of child. Our films (by mome) were succesfull a lot of friendly people said we were professional. The sea was visited too it wasn't in the neighbour by train one, one and half hour but we swam and had a sunbath, a good greece coffee too. Perhaps next year we can go again with new films. ;)

***Tamiya Lunch Box***

This is the time to introduce kritshow's new friend
the huge Tamiya Lunch Box from 1987!
This model is an RTR one (ready to run) electric 1/12 dodge monster van. The japanese tamiya rc company made it in 1987 and its still popular nowadays. The exact size: lenght 38. 5 width 29 height 22,5 cm weight 1.56 kg.
The model without lights, I made it from rc car flashing light system. I cut a small plastic cover for the index and the rear lights from a broken real light. He runs something like 35-40 km/h and at the start he can stand up on two wheels which is really awesome!

Now the owner name is Vanessa, i will change to kritshow, on the numberplate too and I am on to make a roof rack to save the body of rollovering. And the original commercial from '80 is this:

Fendör Sticker

This is the first time when I sold my character rights, so you can by my sticker and badge in Keddshop at the Margit-bridge, Buda side. My brother gave the name "Fendör" and I liked it.

***** Sicily 2012 *****

I was one month in Sicily at Valerio and Katrin, with Zoli Fritz.
They ask our help for the graduation movie of them. Zoli was the master of Flash and I was the king of anime studio. Kat and Vale have one-one cabala figure what they wanted to use for this movie. Kat has a mushroom-boy, Valerio has a magenta snail. So we wrote a script, we drawn storyboard and animatic, layouts and we animated together. The scenes were separated as used by anime studio or flash and Zoli's friend made a music like a game music, because now they are working on the game and the short film is just a pilot for it. I can show the trailer:


This one month was really great, fantastic place, everyday we had fun and nice travels. We were on a lot of beach, in the north, little village, Savoca where The Godfather was shooted, we climbed to the Etna, everyday eated icecream and granita...OMG!
So if you meet erasmus students be friendly because you would never know what this friendship gives in the future! I made photo sequencies movie, Zoli shooted them, and the music is a famous sicilian singer, Roy Paci.

MP38

Megkért egy kisképzős lány, hogy készítsek a filmjéhez egy MP38 típusú gépfegyvert.
Először elkezdtem töprengeni, mikből lehet kiindulni, majd keresgéltem a ház körül mindenféle lomot és fűrészeltem, csavaroztam, ragasztottam, festettem...voálá kész lett a fegyver.

A girl from my secondary school asked me to create a MP38 machine gun. It's needed for her movie.
I thought what I should use what kind of material. I was searching around the house for stuffs and I cut, screwed up, glued, painted these things.
